If the subject is I (yo), conjugate by dropping the ending and add -o. In Spanish, you conjugate verbs by changing the ending. In this lesson, we will use the model verb: vivir. The stem is everything that’s left after you remove the ending. Remember, all infinitives end in -ar, -er, or -ir. Spanish infinitives are divided into two parts: the ending and the stem. Before you can do that, you must memorize the following subject pronouns.įor a review of the subject pronouns, click here. In this lesson you will learn to conjugate regular -ar, -er, and -ir verbs (in the present tense). Many Spanish verbs are completely regular, meaning that they follow a specific pattern of conjugation. The present tense in Spanish can mean three things. Here is the present tense conjugation of the infinitive “to speak”: To conjugate a verb means to manipulate the infinitive so that it agrees with the different possible subjects. In Spanish, all infinitives end in -ar, -er, or -ir. The infinitive is the base form of the verb, such as to speak, to eat, to live, etc. The category is determined by the last two letters of the infinitive: My classes are going to be interesting. In Spanish, there are three categories of verbs.(At) what time is Silvia going to work?.Some vocabulary you might need: concierto = concert con frecuenia = often ahora = now esto = this Let’s try out some sentences: use the verb “ir” to express the following sentences in Spanish. To talk about your upcoming plans, you can use “ir” in a two-verb structure, with “a” separating the verbs we conjugate “ir” and leave the second verb in the infinitive: “Ir a” Structure Ir: used to express what one is going to do Do you see the contractions in the following sentences? Yo voy al banco más tarde.Ģ. This contraction (a + el = al) only happens when “a” appears before the singular “el”. When you say you’re going “to the…” and the place (noun) is feminine, you would use “a la”: Voy a la fiesta.īut notice if the place (noun) you’re going to is masculine, the “a el” contracts to “al”: Voy al parque. So this is a good time to see one of the two contractions that exist in Spanish. Oftentimes, we say we’re going to the bank, or to the pool, and we need to use “the” (el/la). Ir: used to express where one is goingīecause we always go to a place, typically “a” (to) is going to follow “ir”.

Accessorize Your Car Police Radio Scanner This really is a bit of kit you will be able to use for a long while, if not for life. This is great – as in the incredibly rare case of Uniden disappearing – there will be more than enough people willing to produce channel list updates to keep your radio receiver ticking over. One of the best things about the Uniden BCD536HP is the fact that you are not tied to using their software if you want to update your radio scanner. All of their updated data is pulled directly from, so you can be sure that you are getting the most accurate and up to date channel lists. Uniden recommends that you do this at least once per month. The channel list on the radio scanner can be updated using the included software. With the Uniden, you can rest assured that your unit will be up and running when you get back in your vehicle. When your vehicle is turned off, the radio scanner will be turned off, too. If you are on the road, you may be turning your vehicle off regularly to stop and get gas, when coming to a stop, or to make deliveries and such. This is a major reason why we love this unit. With other models, it can take anywhere from 2-3 minutes to begin scanning. It takes under a minute to boot it up and have it start to scan radio channels. In today’s world, faster is always better! Honestly, this is the fastest-loading mobile police radio scanner. It can be a bit annoying to have this feature running on occasion, but most people seem to love it for the most part. This means that you have more of an opportunity to pick up on important transmissions. The radio will also try to keep an eye out for broadcasts that do not match any of the channels in the memory. However, the radio scanner doesn’t stick to those. These are the ‘main’ channels, and the ones that you are most likely to want to listen to. There will be some pre-programmed channels on your radio. We know that not everybody is going to like it, so you are free to turn off the feature if you wish. This is a neat feature that we don’t think we have seen in a police radio scanner before. This is perfect for when you are on the road. The large screen means it is easy to read at a glance. It is one of the largest screens we have seen on an in-vehicle radio scanner, and yet somehow the scanner remains nice and compact to take up the minimum amount of space in your vehicle. We absolutely love the LCD screen on the Uniden BCD536HP. When you are driving, the last thing you want (or should be doing) is to constantly be fiddling with the radio to make sure that you are picking up the right frequencies. The simplicity of this unit is a wonderful thing. Rather than purchase a cheap analog radio scanner, try your hand with this police radio scanner for your car – chances are, you won’t be disappointed. This means that not only is it going to be simple to use, but it will also allow you to keep up with the frequencies that the police are broadcasting on nowadays. Some would say this unit is more of a ‘kit’ that is going to scan digital radio channels. It’s important to check your local ordinances online before you invest in a scanner. There are some slightly more advanced features built into this police radio scanner, but most people just want something that can flick between emergency service channels – and this is perfect for that. While it is legal to listen to a police scanner in your home according to federal law, some states and cities require users to secure a license. Even if your state is still using an older system that is easily intercepted by a cheaper analog scanner, you will likely have a more pleasant scanning experience if you invest in a higher quality digital scanner. Now that many states are switching to advanced digital radio systems, you’re likely to need a digital scanner to pick up activity from your local police, fire and EMS stations.

It's even possible to play Spotify content in any car equipped with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay or Spotify's own Car Thing device. That includes your PC, smartphone, tablet, smart TV or even games consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X. You can listen to Spotify pretty much everywhere. However, if you're planning to play 'party' tunes using a Spotify Free account, you might find yourself explaining to guests why they're hearing a car insurance ad between jams. This might all boil down to your personal tolerance for being advertised at, and it might not be a big deal if you're the only one listening. That goes for both the visual ads you'll see when scrolling through the app, and the ads that play radio-style between songs on Spotify Free. Spotify Premium: AdsĪrguably the biggest difference between Spotify's Free and Premium tiers is the latter's complete lack of ads. In which case, Spotify Premium would get even more content compared to the free version. Thinking back to music libraries, it’s great that you can access almost the entire Spotify library for free, but the lack of some brand-new releases (if the artist decides to make them exclusive to Premium subscribers for a limited period) will be a big downer for serious music fans.Īlso, while we don't know how much Spotify HiFi will cost, nor exactly how many lossless songs it will make available, it's possible that Spotify will follow Apple Music and Amazon Music HD in folding lossless playback into the standard Premium tier. The newest Spotify Premium Duo offer includes 2 separate accounts for $12.99 per month, while $15.99 gets you a family-sized 6 accounts. You can also save by signing up for group deals, which work well for families or couple. If you can prove you’re a student, you can also get Spotify Premium for just $4.99 per month. A standard Premium subscription costs $9.99 per month, and you can pay annually at $99 per year - this effectively cuts the monthly cost to $8.25. The good news is you won’t need to pay that much. But if you’re always wanting to hear the very latest tracks as soon as they drop, Spotify Premium is a far safer bet. Because this is optional, it will vary by artist. However, for the last few years, Spotify has also allowed artists to make their new releases exclusive to Premium subscribers for a 2-week period. That’s a lot of content that you don’t necessarily need to pay a penny for. If you don’t already have a Spotify Premium subscription, you might be wondering if it’s worth paying the monthly $9.99. In early 2022 it became apparent that Spotify's lossless streaming tier was hit by delays, although it now looks as though Spotify HiFi could be back on the agenda after all. Spotify's second Stream On event has been set for March 8, 2023, where we'll hopefully be able to find out more about whether a Spotify hi-fi tier is ever likely to be rolled out. Spotify's closest rival Apple Music already offers lossless and spatial audio, and the popular music streaming service is beginning to looking like it's falling behind in terms of high-quality music streaming. Choosing between Spotify Free and Premium is a little more complicated given some of the recent upgrades rival music steaming services have received. Additionally, the EV space is overflowing with competition from all corners of the globe, especially from established automakers with a built-in customer base. Having said all that, it's important to note that Lucid Motors has exactly zero experience in mass-producing vehicles of any kind, let alone EVs. The company's outlook is so rosy that one analyst believes that if all the pieces fall into place, it can reach a trillion-dollar valuation by 2040. Further down the line, Lucid Motors plans to sell energy storage solutions by leveraging its proprietary ultra-dense battery tech. The company also opened a new Lucid Studio recently which will apparently give visitors the opportunity to "experience Lucid Air and learn more about the full lineup" in reality.Įventually, the company will use its strong brand equity and in-house tech to start producing more affordable vehicles. CEO of Lucid confirmed that the range of models won't stop there though with others in the pipeline. It's little wonder then that the company has amassed over 7,500 reservations representing over $650 million dollars in future sales.Īfter Lucid Motors establishes itself as a luxury EV manufacturer, it plans on releasing an SUV in 2023 as part of its project Gravity. Additionally, the vehicle can go from 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and has an advanced aerodynamic design. However, the Lucid Air Dream comes with a hefty price tag of $160,000 but you certainly get what you pay for as it has the longest range of any EV on the market at over 500 miles and the quickest charge of 20 minutes for 300 miles. With 403 patents backing LEAP, the company can easily license this tech to other manufacturers and secure an additional source of revenue.Īfter Tesla recently canceled its Plaid+ model, Lucid's Air Dream has what it takes to beat the competition. Like Volkswagen and General Motors, Lucid Motors boasts a proprietary drivetrain stage in its Lucid Electric Advanced Platform (LEAP), which took a decade to develop, test, and fine-tune. The state-of-the-art factory can easily handle its current capacity but will be able to churn out 365,000 cars annually when fully operational. Lucid Motors' growth potentialĪt the end of 2020, Lucid Motors completed the initial stages of its Advanced Manufacturing Plant (AMP-1) in Casa Grande, Arizona. As for the product, it expects to ship roughly 600 vehicles by year's end and over 135,000 annually by 2025. According to the company's S-1, by 2025, it expects to have revenue of nearly $14 billion, net income of over $630 million, EBITDA of $1.7 billion, and free cash flow totaling over $320 million. It should be noted that the deal stipulates that Churchill Capital receives only 16.1% of Lucid Motors. With a $60 billion market cap and 1.6 billion shares outstanding, price per share is anticipated to fall in the $35-$40 range. Valued at $24 billion, the deal also provides Lucid Motors with $4.6 billion in cash to put towards production. As this is a SPAC IPO, you can purchase shares of CCIV now, which will convert to LCID on the Nasdaq after the merger is completed. Lucid Motors will be going public through a SPAC merger with Michael Klein's Churchill Capital Corp IV (NYSE: CCIV) on July 23. In 2019, CTO Peter Rawlinson, former VP of Engineering at Tesla, was given the additional title of CEO to lead the company in its endeavors. In 2016, the company rebranded as Lucid Motors and announced its intentions of launching an all-electric high-performance luxury vehicle. The company was founded in 2007 by Bernard Tse and Sam Weng as Atieva, to build EV batteries and powertrains for other manufacturers. Lucid Motors, which is making its market this month via a SPAC merger, plans to occupy the high-end luxury niche of the EV market. As Tesla ( NASDAQ: TSLA) tries to maintain its market share in the electric vehicle (EV) space, competition continues to emerge from not only new companies but traditional automakers as well.Ĭontenders are trying to lower battery costs, embrace different business models like NIO's Battery as a Service (BaaS) paradigm, and electrify popular vehicles that currently use internal combustion engines, as is the case with Ford's F-150 Lightning model. Spiderweb obsidian has a unique web-like pattern, and banded obsidian has alternating layers of different colors.ĭetermining the rarest obsidian color is subjective and depends on several factors such as location, mineral composition, and the style of formation. Obsidian can also have rare patterns or textures, such as snowflake obsidian, which has white inclusions of cristobalite that look like snowflakes on a black background. The blue color comes from small bubbles of gas trapped in the rock during the cooling process, giving it a unique and striking appearance. Mahogany obsidian is often used in jewelry making, and its unique reddish tone and dark spots create a distinctive pattern on the surface.īlue obsidian is another rare color that can be found in only a few locations worldwide, such as the United States, Italy, and Armenia. It is found in limited locations worldwide, including the United States, Russia, and Mexico. The stone is highly sought after by collectors and jewelry makers and is considered a valuable gemstone.Īnother rare obsidian is the purplish-red mahogany obsidian, which gets its color from iron and magnesium in the cooling lava. Rainbow obsidian is found in only a few places worldwide, such as Mexico, California, and Oregon. One of the rarest obsidian colors is the rainbow or sheen obsidian, which has a colorful iridescent shine caused by light interference from microscopic layers of crystal inclusions. Some colors are more prevalent in specific regions than others, and some have a higher value due to their uniqueness or scarcity. The rarity of obsidian color depends on the geographic location of the volcanic activity, the composition of the lava, and the time and conditions during which the rock cooled. However, when it comes to identifying the rarest obsidian color, it is challenging to give a straightforward answer. Obsidian can come in a range of colors, which varies depending on the presence of specific minerals or impurities in the lava from which it formed. It is a popular material for crafting tools, weapons, and ornamental objects due to its hardness, sharp edges, and unique appearance. Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass that forms when molten lava rapidly cools down. A 2011 study of lung cancer patients found that hospice patients fared better on average than those who received more aggressive care. However, various studies suggest that hospice patients often live longer and do better than those who opt for more aggressive treatment. but could receive medications to extend their lives, in which they would suffer, should not be given such medications.” The late Israeli authority Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach issued a similar ruling, stating that “it is reasonable that if the patient experiences great pain and suffering, or even extremely severe psychological pain … it is permissible to withhold medications that cause suffering to the patient if the patient so demands.” (Most Orthodox authorities do not consider nutrition, hydration and oxygen, even if artificially provided, to be medical treatments and generally do not permit them to be discontinued.) Does hospice mean I’m giving up?įor many, the term “hospice” connotes resignation in the face of death and seems to run counter to the Jewish imperative to seek life and preserve it. The 20th-century American Orthodox authority Rabbi Moshe Feinstein ruled that “those individuals whom the physicians recognize cannot be cured. “The purchase of an additional three months of life in a pain-filled and dying condition does not, in our judgment, meet that standard.” “One is obligated to accept treatment that offers a reasonable prospect of therapeutic effectiveness, the attainment of an accepted medical purpose,” the statement read. In 2008, the Reform movement’s rabbinic authorities stated that a lung cancer patient was not obligated to undergo treatment that offered only three months of life extension while causing significant pain and suffering. Two 1990 Conservative papers allow a patient to refuse treatment if the patient believes they cannot bear it and its efficacy is in doubt. Within the Conservative and Reform movements, the autonomy of individuals to make decisions concerning their health care, including the right to refuse such care, is given broad standing. In cases where diseases cannot be cured and medical interventions would be risky, painful, of uncertain efficacy or serve merely to prolong a life of unbearable physical or psychic pain, there is support in Jewish law for an individual’s right to reject such treatment. Jewish tradition generally requires that every effort be made to sustain and extend life, but that position is not absolute. Does Judaism allow a person to turn down medical intervention? The example given is of a sound - for example, the noise from a woodchopper - that can be stopped if it is preventing a dying person from departing. After both of them perished, a divine voice called out that both the rabbi and the executioner had been granted life in the world to come.Ī similar idea is conveyed in the ruling of Rabbi Moshe Isserles, known as the Rema, who in his commentary on the Shulchan Aruch writes that while it is strictly forbidden to take any active steps to hasten death, it is permissible to remove obstacles to the soul’s departure. At that point, the executioner removed the wool and leaped into the flames. When the executioner asked the rabbi if removing the wool and allowing the rabbi to die faster would grant the executioner a life in the world to come, the rabbi said yes. A damp piece of wool was placed on his chest to prolong the agony of his execution. The Talmud (Avodah Zarah 18a) offers support for this idea in the story of the second-century sage Rabbi Hanina ben Teradion, whom the Romans wrapped in a Torah scroll and set afire as punishment for teaching Torah. While some Jewish authorities are very stringent in these matters, there is ample support in Jewish tradition for ceasing interventions that offer no hope of cure and serve merely to delay death. Does Judaism require life-prolonging interventions in all cases? The following is a general overview of contemporary Jewish perspectives on the topic. The decision to choose hospice care is a personal one, as is the amount in which Jewish tradition informs one’s choices for end of life care. Patients who choose hospice care opt to forego aggressive medical care aimed at curing them in favor of therapies geared toward reducing pain and sustaining the highest quality of life for as long as possible. Patients are typically referred to hospice care when further medical treatment is not expected to reverse the course of their disease. Hospice is an approach to caring for individuals who are suffering from terminal illnesses and are expected to live for six months or less. This post is part of a series sponsored by and developed in partnership with MJHS Health System and UJA-Federation of New York to raise awareness and facilitate conversations about end of life care in a Jewish context. In all my years of playing fighting games, I've never seen a fighting game where it allows worse players to succeed and wash better players. Why should you have to force yourself to limit your damage when you already got the reads and now have earned your punish? It's really poorly thought out. The counter argument to this is that "Well, you should KNOW they're gonna break", and yeah, that's true, that's a read you should develop, but you WON neutral. Winning neutral and getting a combo, with spawn for example, a character that struggles to open people up to begin with, often leads to HIM getting full combo punished.for actually opening you up and full combo punishing you. Also, breakaway often rewards characters for LOSING neutral. Throws for some reason beat lows, despite being highs? Not to mention unreactable "fuck neutral" movesm online. Throws are super strong with the whack ass tech system which is a total guess, oops, i mean "read".
